Ok after this chapter, I am going to start posting all the "diary entries" as they are. I have been saving them, but wanted to catch you up with my life before my blog.
So I jump into corporate aviation, head first. I booked my first gig 2 weeks after graduation. It was a family of 7 with 2 handicapped children. I was nervous but still kicked butt and they even requested me back for their return trip. I was networking and doing what I needed to do to get my name out there. I must have sent our like a gillion resumes, lol. Jack was giving me money in between to make ends meet while I hustled and I did pretty ok. Around summer time, things came to a complete halt! I knew I had to get into something else. My bff told me about the school she went to massage therapy for so I quickly enrolled. It was a grueling 6 months but I knew I had to do what I had to do. I took the state board and passed as I knew I would and I got licensed. I began booking gigs right away. I made friends with all the concierges at the high end hotels and they sent business my way. I always gave them a little something to show my appreciation.
Come November, flying started picking up again...I had gotten on the contract roster for a charter company not too far from me and they sent business my way.
In december I sent out my resume to this company where I would get my big break...the year ended with a bang!
So the next posts will start with blogs from early 2010; I summarized 2009 and 2010 in this chapter but now you will start getting more of a "day to day" feel of my life.....HAPPY READING!!!
